Guidebook to Taladas 2
- GUIDEBOOK TO TALADAS 2 - A black ink and gray pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size vellum paper. It appears on page 10 in the TSR game book, "Time of the Dragons".
When TSR shamefully changed their contracts to "Work for Hire," they took away an artist's rights to his own artwork. In terms of labor relations, they took us back to the days of sweat shops and piece work. I refused to do artwork for them under such a contract!
I still own all the rights to all the artwork that I did for TSR for all those many years because I did them before the "Work for Hire" contract was initiated.
Had this drawing been done under a "Work for Hire" contract, I would have had to get TSR's permission to present my own drawing on my website.
I once asked the editor what the letters, "TSR" represented, and after asking around the office she came back and told me "Nobody here seems to know"!
UPDATE: I just received an email informing me that "TSR" stands for, "Tactical Studies Rules". It was named by the two men who were deep into role playing games when they started the company.
